One of our MovieLaLa engineers, Baris, was invited to pitch at Yahoo for a Swift and Objective C Event for developers. As an entertainment platform, we are strong believers in open source projects that can help others who are building similar technologies and applications in the mobile and video categories. All of our engineers at MovieLaLa are ranked highly at github and we’re proud to be contributing so early on in the new technologies that are shaping our development in the tech space.
When we started MovieLaLa, one of the largest problems with mobile and video was the black screen at the pause roll and end of all the mobile videos. While building MovieLaLa, we decided to open source this project to improve mobile and video across all apps and companies looking to improve their mobile video displays and UI/UX of their video content.
We call our open source project Mobileplayer.io. Yahoo hosted MovieLaLa to discuss our new mobile video technology and demo it to the crowd. The audience was quite impressed!! 🙂 Lots of excitement was had by all when they saw what we built for iOS developers. This mobile video SDK can build deeper engagement, branding and analytics to any mobile video player in iOS. It creates a beautiful display of the content and makes users happier as the design looks more professional, clean and easy to use.
We hope developers have easier nights sleeping knowing they don’t have to build an iOS mobile video player from scratch and can drop in this easy SDK into their apps. With such a successful night at Yahoo, we can’t wait for other developers, startups and companies to use our SDK to improve developer quality of life.
